Teaching Experince:

Over 20 Years teaching experinces with Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano and Flute, has taught hundreds of students, always good at inspiring and motivating students’ interest in learning. 

Jan Kus started his musical journey at age 5 in his native

country of Slovenia, studying Clarinet and Saxophone, Flute and Piano.

 

Education: 

National Conservatory for Music in Ljubljana.

The Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Netherlands.

Master’s Degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. 

Today,Jan Kus is an internationally recognized New York-based saxophonist and composer (3-time finalist of the international jazz compositionprize, Jazzon). Awarded with the prestigious Jimmy Heath Award, an award given to the most promising wind instrumentalists at the Jazz department.
