Ruochen is dedicated to helping students develop healthy vocal habits, musical artistry, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music. He enjoys working with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced singers, also teaches Sight-Sing, Ear Training, Choral Conducting, and Guitar Accompaniment and Singing.
Ruochen Liu is a classical vocalist and music educator based in New York City.
- Selected Educational Background:
Bachelor of Music Education from the China Conservatory of Music
Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music.
During his secondary education, he was a member of the prestigious Beijing Jinfan Choir and served as Choir President of the Beijing Jiaotong University Affiliated High School Jinfan Choir. These experiences provided extensive training in choral singing, ensemble collaboration, and leadership.
- Selected Teaching Experiences:
5 Years teaching experiences. As a music educator, Ruochen has taught at the Beijing Angel Children’s Choir and completed his teaching internship at the Middle School Affiliated to the China Conservatory of Music. He holds a Chinese High School Teaching Certificate, a Faber Piano Teacher Certification, and an Orff Schulwerk Level I Certification.
-Selected Performances:
As a performer, he has appeared in productions of Rusalka, The Magic Flute, Carmen, and the Chinese opera Shang Shi (The Sorrow of Separation). His training combines strong vocal technique, stage performance experience, and a passion for music education.
